RT's Kings AU woah

Sif: it kind of makes me think of the crown; the crown that is passed between kings in this au
Sif: the crown that might slowly wither away sanity while the person wears it

Sif: yeah yeah and since geoff was the first ruler he would have used it as a symbol of the gods and worn it to show he was chosen or something like that

Marat: well basically the idea kind of sprouted from this fanart mallius made

Marat: and the gist is basically
geoff literally as god of all and he designs/creates the universe and planets and galaxies
and when hes done he decides to fashion a planet for himself and uses his power to create loyal subjects/citizens and sacred animals and plants and a kingdom for himself
Marat: but theres one big flaw in his perfection and its that he doesnt realize that theres a balance to his universe, and the only reason its sustained is because the chaos that supports the good planets and galaxies is the dark matter that exists in the void
so the planet ends up going against itself and crumbles apart, and monsters are created and lava eats up all the plants
to save his planet, he goes across the galaxy to a volcanic planet, and he hollows it out and banishes all the evil things he can inside of it and closes it up, and it becomes the Nether or 'underworld' because he created the world under the crust of another planet
Marat: so he goes back but his planet still isnt perfect, and theres still obvious evil (monsters, lava, etc) and evil in his citizens (jealousy, greed, w/e)
and the reason this still exists and he cant get rid of it is because theres also an evil god balancing out HIS good existence

Marat: contrast and balance is a favourite theme of mine in mythical stuff skdjfn
Sif: yeah i enjoy it as well
Sif: and with the idea of the pygmy is actually sort of fitting for Michael since he's the Warrior king
Sif: and you as the ancestor of the Pygmy go around essentially killing all the higher demons of the realm until you get to Gwyn

Marat: what if tower of pimps as the manifestation of geoff's godly powers, after he decides to 'give up' some of them in order to live a more human life (like hes still immortant and divine but weaker+less tempted to lorde his powers over his citizens)
like he's just 'im tired, king is easier than god' and makes this gold tower and chills
Marat: anD THEN AND THEN OH OH kind of an idea
Marat: ryan, after befriending the king and convincing him he's loyal and he'd never lie, tells him there's a great threat after his tower of pimps
Marat: so he splits it into four and entrusts different people to hold a piece
Marat: and it's only when it's assembled that the power can be used
Marat: now trying to incorporate the crown tho frick
Sif: perhaps geoff hands out the pieces to Griffon, Ryan, Michael and Ray, and he uses the base to create maybe an obsidian crown? or he could use the gold and gifts the base to his wife for safe keeping
Sif: makes her an ornate bottomless box made of obsidian, where she can keep whatever she likes inside

Marat: i like the second idea actually
b/c i can see him fashioning it into a crown and being all 'if they want it they must strike me down, and even if they do pry it from my corpse, no mortal being can break it, or wear and use it without rending their sanity' or something along those lines

its literally made of the powers of god and no humans brain can comprehend or handle that for very long
Marat: but another god on the other hand
Sif: yeah i understand, it was meant for a god and a mortal would crumble under its effects after a time
Marat: yee
Marat: i want to keep the flame thing you mentioned somehow though
Sif: well it's almost like the tower represents the flame? or perhaps when geoff created the world, he used a spark of fire; pure energy to begin the process
Marat: yeah but instead of the tower splitting into four he made the crown right dfkgjn

Marat: splits it into four and gives it to the people he trusts most maybe
Marat: griffon his wife, michael his bravest warrior, ray his like,, librarian or scribe or prophet maybe?
and then eventually the vagabond
Marat: i thought of geoff appointing ryan as the kingdom's overseer of like livestock or something
tasked with protecting the sacred animals

Sif: ryan using certain animals to watch over the king, like chickens running loose in the town report to ryan and tell him Geoff's routines
Marat: ehehe yes
Sif: i like the idea of ray being the scholar, his crest being of a dragon wrapped around a rose. he learns the old lore and records events of the times.
Sif: it would almost be even more interesting if ray were the ancestor to the dragon, long and lost, his mother perhaps a woman like Priscilla the Halfbreed?
Sif: he wouldn't have known his parents very well, and Priscilla is half human and dragon so perhaps he was just born human but with the blood of dragon in him
Sif: Geoff takes him in because he realizes that Ray shares the same blood from the dragon that long ago locked itself away in a library where none would disturb it and so he raises Ray to be a scholar, recording more events and sending those books to the library where the dragon lives

Marat: i like how the dragon blood ties in with ray being the red king bc of mallius's fanart and their description was he's the king of red not only in roses but also in blood so like

Sif: now the real thing is getting jack and gavin into what we have so far
Marat: yeah i was contemplating that
Marat: jack would be some sort of builder lbr
Marat: gonna build some houses

Marat: and gavins the fool/jester
Marat: oh man what if
Marat: because he has golden boots
maybe enchanted with a part of geoff's power?
and he's like a sort of messenger
Sif: like Hermes?
Marat: i almost tacked on 'like hermes' but decided against it bless u
Sif: ahaha
Sif: he technically would be the messenger to a god, though I'm assuming Geoff doesn't tell him that
Marat: coincidentally when gavin gets the boots he also turns into an excellent dancer
Sif: and maybe Jack is the master architect? Geoff keeps him around when he decides to build something new in the town because Jack has a knack for seeing weaknesses in architecture

The First Flame is what brought up the mortals from the darkest depths. There were four who found the Souls of Lords within the First Flame, which gave them the power to stand up against the dragons who ruled the overworld, essentially.

Nito, lord of Death, was the first to find a Soul. He became the ruler of the undead, living deep underground.

The Witch of Izalith found a Soul as well, and she was a Pyromancer who, with the help of her Daughters of Chaos, rained fire upon the dragons. After she and her Daughters tried to recreate the First Flame, only to die when they instead created a monster.

Lord of Sunlight, Gwyn, was the strongest to find a Soul. He and his faithful knights fought the dragons with bolts of powerful lightning, and armor made to protect from dragon fire. In the end, Gwyn is left to protect the Kiln of the First Flame, to keep it alive and stay in rule of the Gods. However, in doing so it drives him mad after many centuries.

And the Furtive Pygmy, who is of minor importance in the lore. But they are the player's Ancestor. (which comes into play in a second)

There is one more character of import; Seath the Scaleless. A dragon who betrayed his own kind because he was envious of their stone scales.

Here is a quick gist of why each of those are important: Nito is Ryan, lording over the dead in secrecy whilst he pretends to be a regular man, a vagabond; the Witch is Griffon, though she does not die and instead rules alongside Geoff; Gwyn is Geoff, the leader and the ruler of the Gods, and protector of the power hidden within the flames; the Pygmy's ancestor is Michael, the warrior, who fights and challenges all within his path until he makes it to Gwyn; and Ray is the ancestor of Seath.
